3 Tips to Boost Your Productivity While Working From Home

April 18, 2020

While Zoom team meetings and wearing sweats to work from the living room has become the new normal, this is still an unprecedented time in history where we are all doing the best we can with what we have. To help you adjust even more to this new normal, we’ve rounded up our top tips to make working from home much more productive. But first things first: turn off Netflix, make one final snack run (even if it’s your 3rd trip this week), and prepare to be productive.

  1. Set a realistic routine. The keyword here is realistic. If you were an early riser, morning run type of person before COVID-19, and now you find yourself wanting to ease into your mornings and spend your morning differently, that is okay. Establish a realistic routine based on what you need in this season.
  1. Automate, automate, automate. More time at home (and no school) means more time with family, and even homeschooling. Make the most of your time by automating everything from your grocery shopping (hello, grocery delivery) to your window blinds and home appliances. Automation gives you time back in your day to focus on doing your best work, rather than focusing on opening all the blinds in the house to find the perfect lighting for your Zoom call.
  1. Unplug. Based on your new routine from tip number one, set boundaries with social media, the news and any media that will serve as a distraction. Scrolling endlessly on Facebook or tuning in to the news while you work can be a downer, and might cause you to be less productive over time. Instead, try listening to music that makes you feel relaxed or even motivated, so that you can tackle everything on your to-do list.

How are you handling work from home life? If you want to get time back in your day (and save on energy costs even while everyone is home all day), take advantage of our $99 sale and automate your window blinds today.
